rarely see others
the ones i see
ignore my smiles look away
i continue running

today
amid lazy gait and general lethargy
someone says hi
i'm trying to run faster, and so is she:
blonde ponytail, perkier than mine, big smile

and it keeps me going, even if just for a little bit.
